Intégrate
a la Vida
Program |
|
|
The
program “Intégrate a la Vida” (Integrate youself
into Life) is a program by Centro de Vida Cristiana,
that began in Mexico City in 1997.
The
specific objectives of the program are:
|
|
| |
-
To
teach that only the fomation of positive habits can remove
old bad habits. This is why in establishing a new relationship
with God, real steps are taken and people can start to have
a new understanding of their way of life, changing their beliefs,
values, purposes, illusions and negative conduct for the truth.
|
|
| |
-
To
help people understand that addictions are only part of the
problem and that they cause a series of other problem that
consequently have to be resolved. When you change your way
of living accepting the government of Christ, in basis of
the Holy Spirit’s power, people can be restored into
a place of utility for God and for those that surround them.
This implies a direct treatment of character, the way in which
they get along with their families and the way they relate
with others, so that the person can develop true and profound
friends.
-
Differently
from other aid-groups, our program aims to restore the addicted
to a normal way of life alongside their family, without having
have to be dependant on the program for the rest of their
lives.

PRINCIPLES
OF THE PROGRAM FOR THE HELP OF ADDICTS AND ALCOHOLICS |
|
|
-
(STEP
1) I am responsible for my actions, the decisions
that I have taken and continue to take in respect to my life.
This is the principle of a real solution to the problems which
distress me, if I really want to leave the addiction, I need
to recognise my responsibility before God and those around
me, without justification and without seeking to blame others.
-
(STEP
2) Being responsible for my actions and the consequences of
my actions, I should take concrete steps to reconcile
myself with God, with my family and with society.
In this step it is neccessary that there is an authentic act
of repentance on my part.
-
(STEP
3) I should realise that my own efforts, my rights, my religion,
my studies, are not sufficient to solve my problem and recognise
that only Christ can help me.
-
(STEP
4) I should devote myself without reservation to the
government of God, in other words, I commit myself
to laying down the lifestyle in accordance with my own precepts,
so that from now on I will live a life according to the precepts
of God recorded in his word (the Bible).
-
(STEP
5) I recognise the need of others in my life,
because I am desposed to being taught, instructed and corrected
as well as being restored and equipped in order to be of use
to God, myslef and others.
-
(STEP
6) In the process of restoration in my life I commit
to doing everything humanly possible to reintegrate
myself into my family, to confess and ask for forgiveness
to all of the people who I have offended and to restore, within
my capabilities, to those whom I have defrauded, robbed, the
damage or libel with which they trusted me and i didn´t
do or which I lost.
-
(STEP
7) After coming to know the love and mercy of Christ, I
will seek to serve others, helping those who suffer
in the same way that I have suffered. I understand that my
change of life is not only to stop drinking or taking drugs
but also to be a new person, which I can only achieve with
the help of God.
