In October 2003, our NGO InPaVi (Integración para la Vida) started its School Support Program in Alicante, as a need in the fight against school failure. This InPaVi project emerged to help the kids to potencialize their efforts towards school success and as a consequence bring satisfaction and self-stem to their lives. Classes are given for free in a weekly basis to different groups based on the knowledge of the kids, no older than six years old. In order to do this, a team of tutors, volunteers highly capacitated according to their area, attend personally each pupil school needs.

PROGRAM :

1. EDUCATION

• 1.1 Help kids with their school assignments
  1.2 Motivate students to make their homework, supervising their schoolwork so that they are conscious that it has a valuable meaning.
  1.3 Show the importance of studying to reach a better future
  1.4 Sow the seed of effort and guide them to get the reward of passing grades. And at the same time, show them that studying is their responsibility.

2. INTEGRATION

2.1 Increase their self-stem (that they know their value as a person and their resources) paying attention, time and love to them.
2.2 Show them our solidarity, favoring their integration through acceptance.
2.3 Teach them how to socialize properly (showing them about respect, discipline, obedience and order). 2.4 Help teenagers to break with the lack of purpose in their lives, dismotivation or disillusion about their future.

• Assignment overview classes: math, language, Valentian and English

  Study habits: doing homework, schedule on study, pay attention to explanations
