Social Action Spain
Integration
of children and young people
|
|
|
We
help children to discover who they are and what their capabilities
are, promoting attitudes which devlop these capabilities within
the framework of the rightly accepted principles in our society
and giving them the possibility to find a sense of usefullness
in themselves.
|
|
|
|
All
of these actions take place giving them the care and acceptance
neccessary in order to achieve an appropriate family atmosphere.
We promote the establishment of clear limits in the lives of the
children with the purpose of teaching them at their early age
to be obedient so that they in turn can develop into parents of
correct conduct. |
|
| |
We
understand that adolesence is a period in life in which there
is a great need to find answers to many questions. In this stage
of life young people make decisions which effect the rest of their
lives such as: which job to have, who they will live with, etc... |
|
|
|
Our
actions give suitable direction and answers to all of their questions
through the establishment of values sufficient to govern lives
which the young people convert into their own attitudes. We helping
them in this way to develop as people of use in our society. |
|
|
|
We
have proposed to help those children and young people under the
age of 18 who have been born into a social and familiar environment
with serious integration problems, and who do not enjoy the same
opportunities as the rest of the population. In other words, legally
they have the right to enjoy the privileges of our society but
the reality is that in many cases they do not have the information,
resources and help neccessary for their integration and socialisation
to be sufficient. |
|
|
|
Moreover,
we can talk of the problems and circumstances which children and
young people in general suffer from, above all if they are within
a minority environment: broken families, processes of exclusion
and socail marginalization, limited training, high drug addiction
rate, unemployment, lack of motivation, lack of hope for the future,
juvinile delinquency, exceptionally tough childhood (ill-treatment,
abuse, scorn, divorced parents, etc...). |
|
|
This
results in people under the age of 18 who do not have a clear
purpose for their lives, do not realise their own worth in life,
do not know the strategies to leave the situations in which
they find themselves, do not realise their own resources and
potentials which to a large extent causes them difficulty in
reaching out to those who serve them.
|
|
|
|
With
this program of intervention with children and young people, we
want to do our part in working with young people of whatever social
conditon, culture, sex, or race. We want our children and young
people to be able to develop freely in this society and to be
able to enjoy a better future. |
