Poliforum Leon’s Chef, Antonio Alvarez Bustamante, is a finalist in the international contest “Cocinero del Año” (“Chef of the Year”), organized by Consejo de Patrocinios de Empresas Léderes de la Industria Alimentaria. This is the first time this contest takes place in Mexico, and chefs from all over the country attended, subscribing trough the web page: www.concursococinero.com. From among all the subscribers, oonly 40 semi finalists were chosen.
Of the 150 Chefs that subscribed of the West Area, Alvarez Bustamente, was one of the 10 chosen for the semi-final, which took place in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
The finale of “Cocinero del Año” will take place in Mexico City on June 3rd trough the 5th, where Alvarez Bustamante will compete against the other 7 selected Chefs of all the 4 semi-finals.
This contest pretends to find the best professional Chef in Mexico.
